I went to BaeTea with my wife and kid to check it out since I was in the area and enjoy trying Yemeni cafes. At first, just from the outside, it was largely unimpressive, simple, due to how it was situated location-wise. In my mind, I was comparing it to other Yemeni cafes I’ve been to, so I tried to put my bias aside as I walked in.
I was pleasantly surprised by the ambiance of the place, it’s obvious the owner spent a lot of money making the inside look nice. I did feel bad for the only worker behind the counter, who was making drinks, taking orders, and serving guests all at once, that didn’t sit right with me. The drinks themselves were presented nicely, but I would give them an average rating compared to other places I’ve tried. We had the Ube Latte and the Cookie Something Latte (forgot the exact name).
I enjoyed sitting there and the music, the design of the wall, the map of Yemen, beautiful! And the drink as I said weren’t all so life changly impressive but I could see my self being a regular here if I was a local of that area.
Bae Tea Cafe is such a hidden gem in San Jose!
I absolutely loved the cozy, aesthetic vibe of this place — it’s beautifully designed with Arabian-inspired decor and plenty of comfortable seating.
I tried their Turkish Coffee, the IBB Specialty Coffee infused with cardamom and cinnamon, and their new Tiramisu Cold Coffee (loved more)— all so rich and flavorful! Their desserts are just as amazing — the Pistachio Milk Cake was soft and nutty, and the Snicker Cheesecake was perfectly indulgent.
I also had the Bee Bite drizzled with honey and some of their fresh baked breads — everything was delicious and thoughtfully presented.
Definitely recommend this spot if you’re into unique drinks, sweet treats, and chill vibes. Can’t wait to go back and try more! 💛
This was my first time and I really loved their ambience and service. It’s a cozy shop but it has the vibe of its origin. We got Yemeni chai and lotus cake. The tea was really good, refreshing and felt like homemade. The cake was soft and soothing and not too sweet. Overall I loved their food and service and I’ll be back to try more.
It’s totally new experience. Great coffee. The coffee shop clean, nice decorated, good Vibe. Friendly staff. Easy parking. Unique style. Comfortable and relaxing.
Fine late night spot for coffees. My iced white mocha was very heavy on syrup which I appreciated though possibly too sweet for many, but it helped a lot in the drinks texture. It wasn't even mixed but the flavor was consistent throughout. The seating arrangement is decent in quantity. Strong flavored drinks are to be had here
