The Islamic Center of Vallejo is a mosque and community center for a diverse and dynamic community composed of, among others, indigenous Muslims and immigrants. The mosque (or masjid, in Arabic) is nestled on a 1.37 acre lot with ample parking and a building that accommodates nearly 600 congregants.
The mosque consists of a 9,355 square-foot building providing a main prayer hall (musalla) and a private sister’s musalla, a multipurpose area, office space, and a kitchen. Jummah (Friday) prayers are held weekly. Eid prayers, Taraweeh prayers, Iftaars, and other special Islamic events and holidays are also held at the Islamic Center of Vallejo.
The Islamic Center of Vallejo welcomes visitors at all times in order to foster a culture of tolerance and understanding in the San Francisco Bay Area. The prayer times in particular are excellent times to visit the center in order to meet local Muslims and observe Muslim’s worship.

a week agoWe have been visiting and supporting this Islamic center since we moved to Benicia in 2006, the new location established in a church has evolved into a beautiful mosque now with a Mihrab recently added. The facility is green using solar electricity. Plenty of parking for daily prayers with dedicated handicapped parking. Unfortunately Friday parking is always an issue due to larger congregation. The exit route to Glen Cove road is a challenge after Friday prayers. Congregants are encouraged to use alternate route. We appreciate most of our neighbors for their tolerance to the inconvenience specially on Fridays. Now with the start of Ramadan we need to be more careful avoiding inconvenience to our neighbors. We encourage our neighbors to visit our beautiful mosque during Ramadan and break a fast with us at Sunset. Salam,

3 weeks agoThe person who answered the phone at the masjid was extremely rude and unprofessional. I called to ask a simple question, and before I could even finish my sentence, I was abruptly cut off and told “NO.” The individual then went on to list several unrelated points, speaking in a harsh and condescending manner, despite the fact that I remained polite and respectful throughout the call. As Muslims, we are taught to be kind, patient, and understanding, especially when interacting with others. Unfortunately, this brief interaction left a very negative impression and made me hesitant to visit this masjid, as it does not reflect the values one would expect from a Muslim community. I would never speak to a fellow Muslim—or anyone—in the manner I was spoken to.

6 months agoI had the pleasure of visiting the Islamic Center of Vallejo, and it quickly became one of my favorite places to visit in the Bay Area. The mosque’s peaceful ambiance, spacious and meticulously clean facilities—including restrooms and parking—and welcoming atmosphere create an inviting environment for all. The community truly feels like a family, and the staff and congregants are remarkably friendly and inclusive. Whether you’re dropping by for prayer, participating in a Ramadan iftar, or simply exploring the mosque’s beautiful architecture, you’ll feel genuinely valued and respected. A heartfelt five stars for this wonderful center!
