ISEB (Lowry Masjid) – Islamic Society of East Bay (Fremont)

A very beautiful, peaceful, clean, and it has everything a masjid needs. My photos will describe the whole things a prayer needs. Beautiful atmosphere 👌

The masjid is not equipped to handle more than one funeral at a time. My mother’s funeral prayer was held here and family and friends had to gather in a room the size of a closet because the larger room and perhaps the only other room was being used. The room was so small I actually thought someone was going to knock down my mothers kafan several times. The room was also dirty, with gum wrappers on the floor. There must have been an event the previous day because there were Happy Anniversary decorations all over the place. I found this to be so disrespectful. Had I seen the condition of the room before my mother was placed in the room I would have cleaned it myself, but in my grief and juggling family visiting from out of town I was not able to clean the room myself. Months later for some reason my mother’s death certificate was sent to the masjid and they misplaced it and even gave it to the wrong person. I eventually received it, but it took several days.

A very nice place to pray. A blissful holy mosque. Neatly maintained with decent parking facilities.

MashaAllah such a beautiful Masjid. For Jummah, the sisters prayer area is inside the school next to the masjid. During other prayer times its on the 2nd floor.

Masha Allah, for the beautiful and clean environment. I love this place to worship, good people and always the door is open for the people who are prayer. May Allah bless you all
