1st Jummah: 1:30 PM, Iqama (estimate): 1:50 PMA community-based Islamic effort that creates a space for the unencumbered worship of God.The Lighthouse Masjid (Mosque) was founded in 2007 by Imam Zaid Shakir. The community of the Lighthouse is diverse and tries to adhere to the teaching of Allah’s final Messenger PBUH. Currently the Lighthouse is run by a Majlis Shura consisting of 5 brothers and 3 sisters. It is located in North Oakland and has a rotating group of teachers and speakers that teach classes and delivered khutbah. May Allah continue to bless the Lighthouse community with informative classes, lectures and a healthy spirit of teamwork and brotherhood. May Allah bless all the Muslims with good in this world and good in the next and may He save us from the fire.

7 months agoStopped by for jummah today from out of town, and it was worth the visit. It’s a quaint mosque with a sisters section on the right. Food is offered after prayer and there seems to be regular programming open to all. Also impressed that there seems to be an adjacent boxing gym where some of the brothers go. May Allah bless this community and its founders.

2 months agoBeautiful masjid الحمد لله, but it doesn't open 24 hrs as it shows on the Google maps, I just came to pray moghreb between moghreb and Isha but it's close and lights off May Allah bless the people who take care of the masjid

a year agoAmazing African American Brother, Amazing Masjid, Amazing Shaykh El Bakri. I wish this Masjid can expand more. It was full MashaAllah. You can find free food and cheap books outside. Shaykh said to do three things daily, 1. Read couple verses of Quran with Tafseer 2. Do Zikr it doesn't require much efforts. 3. Pray Tahajud Qiam at Night before Fajr. JAZAKALLAH
