a month agoI am a sister and often come this Masjid fajr when I am working near by office. The women's entrance is located just down mens entrance. Brothers who manage the masjid are helpful and even when I come in late they let me in.

5 months agoThe Masjid is clean. There is street parking. I am struggling to find more positive things to say but I have tried going to this mosque many times over the past 6 years and aside from special events like Eids, Ramadan etc, it is a mosque that is geared towards men and not women. This place is not welcoming to sisters, period. It starts with the lack of signage and locked doors. I tried to speak with an Imam who treated me like I was invisible. There have been several imams over the years and it seems that they are all of the same ilk- cold, uninviting, unwelcoming. If you are a sister, just try to go to any other mosque. Women are kept in back rooms with doors closed so you cannot even see the Imam during prayers. Very conservative place with little diversity. There are other options in the Bay area if you want a more inclusive and warm/welcoming community.

7 months ago(Modified) I received a call later the same day from someone in the management team. He apologized on behalf of the person who had answered earlier and was kind and respectful during the conversation. The masjid is clean, well-maintained, and has a peaceful, welcoming atmosphere, mashaAllah. Everything is great overall. Just a small note: it would be better if the masjid opened a little earlier for Dhuhr prayer. —————————————— Rudeness is not part of Islamic manners. Calls should be answered with kindness from start to end. If staff are busy, it’s better not to answer or have someone responsible handle the call instead of responding while distracted or impolite.

6 months agoGreat community and amazing Ramadan nights spent here. Try to find street parking further away for Jumaah so you don’t have to navigate the commotion after prayer is over.
